Modern-Expo Group held the second Modern Retail Forum
One of the most prominent retail events took place on the 2oth of February in Kiev and gathered over 150 people interested in the future of retail, new trends and innovations.
Modern Retail Forum was held for the second time by Modern-Expo Group – international manufacturer and supplier of complete retail solutions, the company that influences industry creating one of the best shopping experiences for different retail formats.
This year Forum’s topic was “New Retail. Trends. Design. Efficiency”. Over 10 international and Ukrainian well-known speakers talked about their great experience and what should be taken into account developing retail in the world that changes.
The whole agenda consisted of three parts. The first one which was dedicated to Trends, was opened by Sebastian Cygal, commercial director of Modern-Expo Group, who talked about the new retail and the store of the future.
Leo van de Polder, director at Shop! Global Development , talked about global changes in retail. How to get more information about the customer’s needs and use this experience in retail; shopping process as a customer’s journey and what are efficient communication points within the store.
Viktor Korsak, Chairman of Board Directors at VolWest Group, continued the topic discussing the retail innovations and trends in Ukraine.
The second part started with “Lean Technology” by Head of Lean Institute Ukraine, Sergei Komberyanov; Alexander Sokolenko talked about retail operational efficiency and ways to manage the assortment; Eugene Ageev, Director of innovation technology, E.NEXT-Group, presented the topic “Energy efficiency as a key to increase competitiveness in retail”.
Director of Strategy and Format at JosDeVries, Ernst Consenheim talked about the new multiformat strategy in retail and how is design important in communication with the customer.
Vladislav Chechetkin, founder of Rozetka.ua , shared his bright experience of opening offline store. He said that offline tried to survive but nobody knows what will be its market share in the nearest future.
The co-owner of Modern—Eхро Group, Bogdan Lukasik talked about the way from store’s concept development to complete implementation showing the examples of projects Modern-Expo did in more than 60 countries.
Nikolay Chumak, CEO at IDNT , explored the topic of new retail formats and how do they create more sophisticated customers.
Retail changes which are really difficult to deny, talked Modern-Expo Group co-owner, Retro Pylypuik: “Since 2015, when Modern-Expo held the first Modern Retail Forum, there have been so many changes in retail. For the record: the First Modern Retail Forum took place on September 8-9, 2015 in Lutsk, and was visited by 200 guests from 28 countries of the world. The main topic of the forum was: “The development of retail in time of change. Ways to be effective.”
